Lydia's mother calls and informs her that a long-lost family friend has died, sending Lydia reeling for a person she used to know. Sorting through Bea’s postcards, Lydia glimpses a life lived fully: bold, romantic, free. Then comes a surprise — Bea has left her a crumbling lavender farm in Northern Italy. Her boyfriend Colin dismisses it entirely. That night, Lydia finds Bea’s postcards soaked in condensation, doubling as coasters for Colin’s TV dinner. Something cracks open.
